More than $160,000 has been raised at this year’s Māia Foundation Feast – and Forté was there in force to help make it happen!
Forté is a proud business partner of the Māia Health Foundation, which has so far raised more $7 million to enhance Canterbury’s health system.
Māia’s Feast event held on Saturday 31 August was attended by 288 people, with the resulting $160,000 raised providing a massive kick start for Māia’s next focus to improve the region’s mental health facilities.
“Māia is an incredible organisation that is making a real difference to our health services here in Canterbury. The Forté team is delighted to be able to support Māia in its mission to take our health services from good to great,” says Forté General Manager Rachel Hillyer.
Māia’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing Anna Galvan says the community support they have received has been staggering, and Forté is a large part of that.
“The Forté team have opened their heart and mind to the difference Māia can make and it’s that support that is helping us make a real difference to health services here in Canterbury. We cannot thank them enough for walking alongside us on this journey,” says Anna.
Since its launch in 2016, Māia Health Foundation has raised $7 million for Canterbury’s health system, $5.2 million of these funds have gone towards an upgraded helipad for Christchurch Hospital and improvements to child health facilities.
