Forté Health welcomes Christchurch obstetrician and gynaecologist Janet Whineray to the Forté Health board.
Janet is an experienced and passionate advocate for the efficient and effective provision of medical care. She brings to the board experience in the private sector, where she works currently as a partner in Southern Women's Health, along with her previous experience as Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Christchurch Women’s Hospital and Senior Medical Officer at National Women’s Hospital.
"We are delighted to have someone of Janet's experience and calibre join the Forté Health board. We know she shares our vision to provide not only the best patient care possible but also to do so in a sustainable, responsible way," says Board Chair David Barker.
Janet is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She is actively involved in the Christchurch community including being a trustee of the Te Kura Trust Foundation Inc, the investment arm of Christchurch Boys’ High School.
Janet has joined the Forté Health board following Chris Thomson's decision to step down.
"Chris has been a vital member of the Forté Health board since its inception. He's shown incredible passion and dedication to grow and develop Forté to where it is today and we thank him for that and wish him all the best for his future endeavours," says David.
