From good to great – Forté Health pledges another three years of support for Māia’s mission

It’s a shared vision to ensure Cantabrians enjoy a world-class, enhanced health system that has brought Forté Health and Māia Health Foundation together for a further three years.

Forté Health was one of Māia Health Foundation’s Founding Business Partners, walking alongside Māia in its journey over the last three years.  Forté has just re-confirmed this commitment until 2023.

Forté Health General Manager Rachel Hillyer says they’re proud of the achievements Māia has made to date.

“We know that with the community behind them, Māia Health Foundation will continue to flourish and make a real difference in supporting and enhancing our wider health system.   We’re proud that we’re able to continue to support the wonderful work they do,” says Rachel.

Since its launch in 2016, Māia Health Foundation has raised more than $11 million for Canterbury’s health system, $5.2 million of these funds have gone towards an upgraded helipad for Christchurch Hospital and improvements to child health facilities.  Māia’s next major focus is to improve the region’s child and youth mental health facilities.

Māia Health Foundation Chief Executive Michael Flatman says having Forté Health continue its commitment to Māia is another example of how Forté is leading the way in terms of developing a strong health system that all Cantabrians can enjoy. 

“Like Forté, Māia is here to bring a fresh approach to healthcare here in Canterbury with a focus on delivering a world-class health experience for patients and their families and whānau.  The partnership between Forté Health and Māia Health Foundation has a real synergy.  We’d like to thank Forté for their support to date and for their renewed faith in and commitment to Māia for a further three years,” says Michael.

Rachel Hillyer says Forté Health is committed to providing exceptional care to Cantabrians through not only Forté’s hospital but also through its community initiatives. 

“Our support of Māia Health Foundation is one such initiative.  We’re delighted to join them on this journey, supporting their vision of taking our healthcare system from good to great.”
